EuroDreams Dream Number

The Dream Number in EuroDreams is the seventh number selected in every draw and is taken from a range of 1 to 5. You need to match it to have a chance of winning the top prize of €20,000 a month for 30 years. Find out more about the Dream Number and how it works.

Key Facts About the Dream Number

  • Matching six numbers and the Dream Number wins you the top prize
  • You pick one Dream Number, from 1 to 5, in EuroDreams
  • The same number can appear as a main ball and the Dream Number
  • The Dream Number is only relevant if you also match six main numbers

Playing EuroDreams

When you fill out a EuroDreams playslip, there are a couple of different sections. First, you have to select six main numbers from 1 to 40, then you can move on to choosing a Dream Number between 1 and 5.

The Dream Number that you pick can be the same as one of the main numbers you are playing. If you opt for a random selection and see two identical numbers on your ticket, do not worry that there is a mistake as one of them will be the Dream Ball.

The EuroDreams Draw

The EuroDreams draw is carried out electronically in Paris and represented in animated form, with the six main numbers from 1 to 40 selected at random, followed by the Dream Number between 1 and 5. The Dream Number is drawn from a separate field to the main numbers, so it can be the same as one of the digits that has already appeared.

Winning Prizes

To win the EuroDreams jackpot, you need to match all six main numbers and the Dream Number. However, if you miss out on matching the Dream Number, you can still win in any of the other five prize categories. The Dream Number only applies to the top prize.

If you haven’t matched all six of the main numbers, the Dream Number is not relevant. Here’s a reminder of all the prize categories, and whether matching the Dream Number makes a difference.

Numbers Matched Prize
6 + Dream Number €20,000 a month for 30 years
6 €2,000 a month for 5 years
5 + 0 or 1 €103.49*
4 + 0 or 1 €40.48*
3 + 0 or 1 €5.29*
2 + 0 or 1 €2.50

*Estimated prize. The actual value differs from draw to draw

If you match fewer than six main numbers, it does not make a difference to the prize value whether you get the Dream Number or not. For example, if you match two main numbers and the Dream Ball, this does not boost the value of your payout. This also does not count as matching three numbers – you receive the prize for matching two main numbers.

The main numbers and the Dream Number are not interchangeable. Only the six main numbers on your ticket can match the main numbers that are drawn, and only the Dream Number on your ticket can match the Dream Number that is drawn.

For example, if you pick the numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, with a Dream Number of 1, then the numbers drawn are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7, with a Dream Number of 5, this would count as matching five main numbers (2, 3, 4, 6 and 7). You could not swap the 1 and 5 around to give yourself a perfect match.
